BASE PDF Scan - Package ID: in.erpbase.pdfscan
Effective date: 12 July 2026 - Version 1.0

This Privacy Policy explains how FISCUS CONSILIO FINANCIAL DISTRIBUTION PRIVATE LIMITED (Company, we, us or our) handles information when you use the BASE PDF Scan Android application (App).

Privacy summary: The App processes documents locally on your device. It does not require an account, does not contain advertising or analytics SDKs, and does not upload your documents to Company servers.

1. Scope and applicable principles

This Policy is intended to provide transparent information consistent with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, as and when their relevant provisions apply. Where the App is offered to persons outside India, we also seek to follow generally recognised privacy principles such as transparency, purpose limitation, data minimisation, security and user control. Local mandatory law may provide additional rights.

2. Information processed by the App

The App may process the following information solely at your direction:

Documents can contain personal, confidential or sensitive information chosen by you. The Company does not receive or inspect that content through the App.

3. Purposes and legal basis

Processing on your device occurs to perform the function you request: scanning, compressing, splitting, merging, or converting documents. Where consent is the applicable legal basis, you provide it by selecting files, granting an Android permission, and initiating a tool. You can withdraw a permission through Android settings, although the corresponding feature may then stop working.

4. Local processing, storage and retention

The App is designed for on-device processing. Temporary working files may be created in the Apps private cache while an operation is performed. Android or the operating system may remove cache files automatically. Generated outputs are stored at the location you select. You control retention by deleting files using your device or file manager. Uninstalling the App normally removes its private App data, subject to Android and device backup behaviour.

5. Permissions

The App does not request location, contacts, microphone, phone, SMS or advertising identifier access.

6. Data collection, sharing and sale

Version 1.0 does not transmit personal data or document content to the Company, does not sell personal data, and does not share personal data with advertisers, analytics providers or data brokers. If you intentionally use Androids Share function, the file is transferred to the app or person you select, whose practices are governed by their own terms and privacy policy.

7. Security

Local processing and Androids application sandbox reduce exposure, but no device or software can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your device with an up-to-date operating system, screen lock, encryption and trusted apps. You are responsible for selecting appropriate documents and recipients.

8. Children

The App is a general productivity utility and is not directed specifically to children. A child should use it only with the involvement and consent of a parent or lawful guardian where required. Because the Company does not operate App accounts or receive documents, it ordinarily cannot identify a users age.

9. International users and transfers

The App does not transfer selected documents to Company servers, including across national borders. Any transfer you initiate through a third-party sharing or backup service is controlled by that third party. Mandatory privacy rights in your location remain unaffected.

10. Your choices and rights

You can choose which files to open, where outputs are saved, whether to grant camera access, and whether to share an output. You may delete generated files and withdraw permissions through device settings. If you contact us, we may process your correspondence to respond. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal data held by us, including access, correction, erasure, grievance redressal or withdrawal of consent. Because App documents are not sent to us, we generally cannot retrieve or delete files stored only on your device.

11. Third-party services and links

The App relies on Android system components and may open your browser or sharing applications at your request. Those services operate under their own terms. The Company is not responsible for third-party privacy practices.

12. Lawful use

The App is provided only for lawful and legitimate document processing. Do not use it to forge, alter deceptively, infringe, defraud, impersonate, evade legal obligations, violate privacy or confidentiality, process documents without authority, or commit any offence. Further restrictions appear in the EULA.

13. Changes

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the App, law or business practices. The revised effective date and version will be displayed. Where required, renewed in-App acceptance will be requested.
